Evening Event:

Dinner, Debate & Digitalization

Inspiring event on the future of the IT sector

Danish businesses have been at the forefront of the digital revolution for decades, developing new technologies and leading the way in innovation and entrepreneurship. But is that about to change? As the rest of the world catches up to the economic potential of digitalization, not least in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, what can Danish businesses do to stay out in front?

In connection with the conference MatchPoints 2021, Aarhus University invites everyone working or interested in the tech sector to discuss the future of digitalization, in a unique event that will feature a dinner and a panel debate with internationally acclaimed professionals, politicians, journalists, and researchers.

In the context of nation-wide initiatives like the government’s “Digital Growth Strategy” (2018) and the newly launched “Strategy for Tech Diplomacy” (2021), the event will invite you to discuss and reflect on where the Danish IT sector is heading. What challenges lie ahead, and what potentials are ripe for the taking?

Topics to be discussed include:

  • In the wake of scandals about the negative influence of digitalization on democracy, how can IT businesses prevent the erosion of social trust and keep the public on their side?
  • The future of the IT sector calls for a transition to more agile forms of leadership or even entirely new forms of organization. How can leaders best carry out that transition?
  • The economy is headed into uncharted waters, with major challenges like climate change and the post-Covid recession ahead. What can the IT sector do to navigate these turbulent times and to help solve the problems we face?

The debate will be followed by a three-course dinner. Only a limited number of tickets are available, so register now for this unique and inspiring event.
